FREEYOU || The last fact-checking

On September 20, 2021 the final event of the FREEYOU project took place: a day dedicated to media literacy that brought together in a blended format all the students participating in the project from Italy, Spain, Portugal, Cyprus and Greece.

The project, dealing with digital literacy and implemented as part of the School-Work Alternation by high schools, has helped the development of critical thinking skills and computer skills to independently manage the pitfalls present on the web – a course divided into four modules: identification of fake news, analysis and creation of memes, fact checking and analysis of Deepfake.

The meeting lasted all morning and saw the intervention of Francesco Oggiano – journalist at the brand new magazine WILL ITA.
The students were awarded by Jens Nymand Christensen, Senior Advisor at Creative Business Cup of the European Commission.
