Sunset AI World: meet the artist
To inform and engage the public about the Sustainable Development Goals set out in Agenda 2030 and to highlight the interaction between Art and Artificial Intelligence, exploring how these two dimensions can work together in creative and innovative ways. These are some of the objectives of SUNSET AI WORLD, the winning project of the Auge Next call for artists, a project funded by the European Commission under the Creative Europe Call for Proposals in which MEET is a partner.
SUNSET AI is an anthology art project that came to life in 2022 through a collaboration with Artificial Intelligence. Its main purpose is to raise awareness of the goals outlined in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, a global initiative promoted by the United Nations. The project has been carefully designed to create a comprehensive digital ecosystem that seamlessly connects different digital platforms and exploits the full potential of web3 technologies.
Content creation in SUNSET AI WORLD is a continuous dialogue between the artist and the Artificial Intelligence. This collaborative exchange ensures a deep understanding of the artist’s original concept and enables the Artificial Intelligence to process it effectively. The materials generated by the Artificial Intelligence act as a source of inspiration for the artist and his team, providing new perspectives and insights to inform the final content creation.
On Tuesday 28 November, from 16.00 to 18.00, MEET Digital Culture Centre will host a meeting with Manuel Macadamia, Rebecca Pedrazzi and Pasquale Pacilè.

“Between Creativity and Algorithms: Art in the Age of Generative AI”

Between human creativity and generative artificial intelligence, we will explore how new technologies are redefining the boundaries of artistic expression in the digital age. An introductory historical overview in order to understand the state of the art of AI Art and, finally, an in-depth look at the Sunset AI World project.

Together with Manuel Macadamia, artist and art director of the anthology project Sunset AI World, we will focus on the concept of the project and review its developments: starting from the episodes and contents already published, up to the development of the storytelling of the episode set in 2121, which will be realised in collaboration with the MEET Digital Culture Centre within the digital residency project Auge Next.
Dr StranIntelligence – How I learned not to worry and to love AI
Talk by Pasquale Pacilè
In a constantly and rapidly evolving scenario, the human element is, as never before, the cornerstone of any technical solution that wants to stand out. Because if content creation becomes easier with the emergence of each new generative tool, it is in the original integration of these tools that the real game is played.
