Meet the Media Guru | Frank Rose
The meeting with the anthropologist, writer and journalist Frank Rose introduces us to the technologies and strategies that the new media adopt for the control and orientation of consensus, themes that are also present in his new book Il mare in cui nuotiamo (Codice Edizioni, April 2022), in which Rose describes the new way of narrating in the digital era.
But that’s not all, in our meeting at MEET – scheduled for Tuesday 17 May at 7 pm – Frank Rose goes even deeper, into the very core of narrative mechanisms. Neuroscience has shown that the neural processes that govern thought actually create narrative structures, which are an integral part of our being. In other words, stories are indispensable for reading and interpreting reality; to control stories and not be controlled by them, knowing the tools of storytellers is fundamental.
