FLUX OPEN CALL | Female Digital Creativity
Are you a female or trans artist with a particular interest in exploring the revolutionary world of digital art and blockchain technology, and its intersection with the art market? If yes, this open call is for you!
The goal of FLUX is to develop, present, and promote women’s digital creativity through a program of education and exhibitions. Flux is a partnership between Labin Art Express (Istria, Croatia), MEET (Milan), MOTA (Ljubljana) and Alice in Blockchains (Zagreb).
The primary goal of the project is to encourage more women artists to engage in the currently most innovative field of new technologies and new art media, particularly blockchain and NFT. NFT, or non-fungible token, denotes cryptographically protected digital assets that represent unique objects such as works of art, providing easily verifiable proof of ownership compared to other unique forms of digital or “analog” assets. Unlike, for example, Bitcoin, which can be exchanged for cash or another cryptocurrency, each NFT is unique and cannot be substituted for another.
