The power of Museums

ICOM Italia and MEET, in collaboration with the Institute without Boundaries (IwB) in Toronto, with the support of Fondazione Cariplo are organizing for Monday, June 20, “The power of Museums – museums, society and digital: driving the change” a participatory design process-known as Charrette-to support the revitalization of Italian museums through experimentation with new models of cultural supply and demand.
The pandemic has accelerated the spread of digital consumption requiring all content producers and curators to experiment with new languages to speak to their audiences.

The questions to be answered by participates are basic to the future of museum institutions:
What can be the ways to revive audience participation?
What skills are most relevant to fulfill the museum’s mission
and sustain its active role in today’s society?
Gaming, co-creation, Metaverse, Inclusion, and Audience Engagement, are the themes on which the reflections are articulated whose objective is to deepen these aspects in a working group that brings together the most diverse and articulated experiences giving a multidisciplinary reading to the problems by converging on common perspectives and solutions.
